Chris Schoon, Lead Pastor

Pastor Chris stepped into the lead pastor role in 2011. In this capacity, Chris serves our church through preaching and worship, providing pastoral leadership with our Council and ministry committees, and participating with our elders and deacons in extending care within the congregation. Chris also mentors people preparing for ministry, engages in our True City and Classis Hamilton partnerships, and occasionally contributes to campus ministry efforts at Redeemer University College and McMaster University.

Alongside his pastoral work, Chris earned a Doctor of Theology (Wycliffe College/University of Toronto), occasionally teaches mission and leadership related courses at Redeemer University College and Calvin Theological Seminary, and is a regular contributor to Reformed Worship's blog. When he can, Chris loves to hop on the Bruce Trail, to fire up the backyard BBQ, or to play a wide range of board games.

Rachel Cook, CAP Debt Centre Manager

Rachel took over as the Debt Centre Manager of our Christians Against Poverty Debt Centre in July, 2017. In this role, Rachel and a team of volunteers from our congregation show the love of Jesus by walking alongside those who are struggling with debt as they work their way with our help towards being debt-free. With a background in teaching, a heart for people, and a desire to share God's love, Rachel is thrilled to help our neighbours in this tangible way. When she's not working, Rachel enjoys spending time with her fabulous husband Justin and three children, hiking, gardening, baking, camping, and playing games.
